November Update: The fitness centre at Minoru Centre for Active Living is scheduled to open in January 2020!  Apply now to join a team that is committed to empowering others to lead happy, healthy lives.  Applications will be accepted until 11:59pm PST on Tuesday November 19.  Interviews are being scheduled on an ongoing basis.  

Richmond Fitness & Wellness Services is hiring the following positions for Minoru Centre for Active Living and Watermania:

  • Fitness Attendants
  • Personal Trainers
  • Group Fitness Instructors
  • Yoga/Pilates Instructors
  • Specialty Fitness Instructors (e.g. Older Adult, TRX, etc.)

Fitness leaders must be registered with the BC Recreation and Parks Association (BCRPA) or a suitable equivalent in their respective area(s).

To apply, please submit an Expression of Interest form along with your resume to fitness@richmond.ca or drop off the required documents at Minoru Aquatic Centre. Note: Please download and save blank form to computer then fill in relevant information, re-save, and send as an attachment.

Preference will be given to those with certifications and a desire to work in multiple areas.

In anticipation of the opening of Minoru Centre for Active Living, the City of Richmond and Richmond Fitness & Wellness Association hosted certification courses with a special rate and coordinated course schedule. These courses are now complete.  There will be no further courses scheduled ahead of facility opening.
